Hair loss affects a significant proportion of the population, and for many people it has a real impact on confidence and quality of life. The market is full of shampoos, supplements and gadgets that promise miraculous regrowth. Most of them are disappointing. The treatments that actually work tend to be those that address the biology of the follicle directly.

Why does hair loss happen?

The causes are varied: androgenetic alopecia (the most common form, driven by hormones and genetics), nutritional deficiencies, stress, thyroid issues, post-illness or post-pregnancy shedding, and scalp health problems. Identifying the cause is essential before choosing a treatment, which is why a proper consultation should always be the first step.

Hair mesotherapy

Mesotherapy for hair loss involves micro-injections of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and growth factors directly into the scalp. By delivering these nutrients exactly where they are needed, at the level of the follicle, mesotherapy can stimulate dormant follicles, strengthen existing hair and slow further loss.

The advantage over oral supplementation is direct delivery. When you take a supplement, only a fraction of it reaches the scalp. Micro-injections bypass this problem entirely.

Most clients notice less shedding and improved hair density after a course of sessions, with improvements continuing for several months after the course ends.

Biotin injections

Biotin (vitamin B7) plays an essential role in keratin production, keratin being the protein that makes up hair, skin and nails. Biotin deficiency, even mild deficiency, can contribute to brittle hair and increased shedding. While oral biotin supplements are widely available, biotin injections deliver the vitamin directly into the bloodstream for immediate, complete absorption.

Biotin injections work best for people whose hair loss has a nutritional component, and they are often used alongside hair mesotherapy for a comprehensive approach.

What results are realistic?

Neither mesotherapy nor biotin injections will regrow hair in completely bald areas. They work best in areas of thinning where follicles are still active but struggling. Results are gradual, expect to notice changes from around eight weeks, with significant improvement after three to six months of regular treatment.
