What is Mesotherapy for Hair Rejuvenation?
Hair thinning can be genuinely distressing, and it affects far more people than most of us realise. Mesotherapy for hair rejuvenation delivers a nourishing blend of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and growth stimulators directly into the scalp, targeting the follicles where they are needed most. It is a well-established, non-surgical approach to slowing hair loss and improving density.
Unlike topical products, which struggle to penetrate deeply enough to reach the follicle, mesotherapy goes straight to the source.
Who is it suitable for?
- Men and women experiencing general hair thinning
- Those with early-stage hair loss
- People with reduced hair density
- Anyone wanting to support healthier, stronger hair growth
- Those with a dull or dry scalp condition affecting hair health
How does it work?
The mesotherapy cocktail is injected directly into the scalp using a fine needle. The active ingredients stimulate blood circulation to the hair follicles, reduce scalp inflammation and deliver the nutrients follicles need to produce healthy hair. Each session takes 30 to 45 minutes.
When will I see results?
A course of six to eight sessions, spaced two to three weeks apart, is recommended. Results build gradually, with most clients noticing reduced shedding and improved thickness from around the third or fourth session. Hair growth is a slow process, so patience is important.
Who is not suitable?
This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is also not recommended for anyone with scalp infections or significant scarring alopecia. A consultation will help us assess your pattern of hair loss and confirm whether this treatment is right for you.
Aftercare
- Avoid washing your hair for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid swimming, saunas and intense exercise for 24 hours
- Use a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo during your treatment course
- Avoid tight hairstyles that place tension on the scalp for 24 hours
Frequently asked questions
Is mesotherapy suitable for all types of hair loss?
It is most effective for androgenetic alopecia (general thinning and hair loss related to hormones and genetics) and diffuse hair loss. It is less suited to conditions like alopecia areata or scarring alopecia. A thorough consultation will help us assess your specific situation.
Can women have hair mesotherapy as well as men?
Absolutely. Hair thinning is a very common concern for women too, particularly after pregnancy, during hormonal changes and as a natural part of ageing. The treatment is equally suitable and effective for women.
Is it painful?
A topical numbing spray or cream is applied to the scalp before treatment to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe it as mild pressure or a tingling sensation rather than pain.
Can I wash my hair on the day after treatment?
We ask that you avoid washing your hair for 24 hours after the session to allow the ingredients to be absorbed without being washed away.
How long do the results last?
Results are progressive and cumulative. After completing the initial course, many clients maintain with sessions every two to three months to sustain the improvement. Continuing to care for your scalp health between sessions also makes a significant difference.
