How does it work?

Frequently asked questions

Is under-eye mesotherapy the same as tear trough filler?

No. Tear trough filler addresses structural hollowing beneath the eye with a volumising hyaluronic acid product placed deeply. Under-eye mesotherapy addresses skin quality issues such as dark circles from poor circulation, dryness and fine lines, using a nourishing cocktail injected more superficially into the skin. They treat different concerns and can sometimes be used together.

Is it painful?

Numbing cream is applied before treatment. The under-eye area is sensitive, but the needles used are extremely fine and most clients tolerate the treatment well.

Will there be bruising or swelling?

Some mild swelling and very occasional bruising is possible in this delicate area. Any swelling generally settles within 24 to 48 hours. Bruising, if it occurs, usually resolves within five to seven days.

How many sessions will I need?

Three to four sessions, spaced two to three weeks apart, give the best improvement. Many clients then maintain with sessions every three to six months.

Can I combine under-eye mesotherapy with other treatments?

Yes. It can be combined with polynucleotides, skin boosters or tear trough filler as part of a more comprehensive eye area treatment plan. Your practitioner will advise on the right combination for your concerns.
