The Pixie Lift is our non-surgical answer to a heavy or drooping brow, and it is one of the most satisfying treatments we offer at Tu Bella.
What is the Pixie Lift?
The Pixie Lift is a specific botulinum toxin technique developed by our lead practitioner Zupi. It uses small doses of botulinum toxin placed strategically around the eye area to relax the muscles that pull the brow downwards, allowing the elevating muscles to create a natural, upward lift.
When the depressor muscles are relaxed, the frontalis (the muscle that raises the brow) is able to work with less opposition. The result is a more open, lifted eye area, and it looks entirely natural because the mechanism is the same as what happens when you consciously raise your brows, just in a more relaxed, sustained way.
What does it treat?
- Heavy, hooded brow that makes the eye area look tired
- The outer brow drooping with age
- A general heaviness across the upper eyelid area
- Asymmetry in the brow position
How is it different from standard anti-wrinkle treatment?
Standard forehead anti-wrinkle treatment reduces movement in the frontalis. The Pixie Lift takes a more targeted approach, it focuses on the muscles that antagonise the lift rather than reducing the lifting muscle itself. This is why it can create elevation rather than the flatness that can sometimes result from standard forehead treatment.
Not everyone is suitable for the Pixie Lift. People with very heavy upper eyelid skin may not achieve the same result as those with a lighter brow. This is why an in-person assessment matters.
How long does it last?
Results typically last three to four months, which is standard for botulinum toxin in this area. Many clients combine the Pixie Lift with other treatments, tear trough filler, skin boosters, for a more comprehensive eye-area refresh.
